Acute Exposure Guideline Levels (AEGLs) Committee Meeting December 16-18, 1996

A meeting of the National Advisory Committee for Acute Exposure Guideline Levels for Hazardous Substances (NAC/AEGL) was held on December 16-18, 1996, in Washington, D.C. At this meeting, the committee addressed various aspects of the acute toxicology and development of Acute Exposure Guideline Levels (AEGLs) for the following chemicals: ammonia, cyanogen chloride, and nitric acid. In addition, as time permits, the committee intends to address the development of AEGLs for the following chemicals: dimethyl hydrazine, methyl hydrazine, ethylene oxide, phosgene, chlorine, and phosphine.
