This course describes how exceptional events that are unusual or naturally occurring (fires, wind events, dust storms) events can affect air quality, and how these data can be omitted from NAAQS requirements. The current policy is outlined as are specific case studies, which in some circumstance are reliant on emissions inventory data for the necessary demonstration required to show that it is an Exceptional Event..
