Transforming Lives and Advancing Economic Opportunities: EPA’s Environmental Workforce and Job Training Program

The “Transforming Lives and Advancing Economic Opportunities: EPA’s Environmental Workforce and Job Training Program” publication highlights successful EPA environmental job training programs nationwide. The publication provides testimonies from graduates and examples of different types of environmental training offered and different careers graduates obtain through the program as a result of the its expansion in 2011. The publication also provides insights from grantees, graduates, and the employers who hired them revealing the true benefits of these job training programs: cleaner communities, a healthier environment and a locally trained and green workforce made up of individuals whose lives have transformed for the better through sustained careers with livable wages and opportunities for upward advancement.
