Delegations of New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) in the Pacific Northwest

The EPA may delegate the authority to implement and enforce certain federal regulations to state agencies and local air pollution control authorities. NSPS (in 40 CFR part 60) and NESHAP (in 40 CFR parts 61 and 63) establish nationwide requirements to control emissions of air pollution from a wide range of commercial and industrial activities.

This information is provided for reference purposes only. Please contact your air permitting authority and/or the EPA regional office if you have any questions about the applicability or implementation of any NSPS or NESHAP.
