EPA Region 1 State Delegations of Federal New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) and National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs)

EPA may delegate the authority to implement and enforce certain federal air regulations to individual states.  These regulations are an integral part of federal and state air pollution control strategies and may contain applicable requirements for sources that are permitted under the Clean Air Act. The following provides a listing of federal air regulations that have been delegated to states in Region 1. These air regulations establish nation-wide requirements for a wide range of commercial and industrial activities and include New Source Performance Standards established under 40 CFR Part 60 (Part 60 NSPS) and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants established under 40 CFR Part 61 (Part 61 NESHAPs) and under 40 CFR Part 63 (Part 63 NESHAPs).
