Annual Drinking Water Compliance Report of District of Columbia

The 1996 Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act require each state to submit to the EPA Administrator an annual report of violations and to make the annual report available to the general public on the web. The report is required to include a clear and understandable explanation of the nature of the violations, its potential adverse health effects, steps that Public Water System is undertaking to correct the violation, and the possibility of alternative water supplies during the violation. The EPA Region III Office located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania administers the Public Water System Supervision Program for the District of Columbia and is responsible for preparing and providing the District of Columbia Annual Compliance Report on the web. For more information about Public Water Systems in the District of Columbia, please contact the EPA Region III Drinking Water Branch at (215) 814-2320.
