This fact sheet provides guidance on the Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) rule requirements related to the reporting of mined metals, intermediates, and byproducts manufactured during metal mining and related activities.

The version dated 2020 addresses the application of new byproduct exemptions established by the CDR Revisions rulemaking and provides additional explanations that are helpful for reporters under the CDR rule.  The version dated 2016, used during the 2016 CDR reporting period, is retained for historical purposes.
