EPA published the 2020 Mercury Inventory Report on the supply, use, and trade of mercury in the U.S. This report is the first inventory published after finalizing the mercury inventory reporting rule. EPA updated its list of alternative test methods or strategies that do not require new vertebrate animal testing. EPA issued a final rule to prohibit the manufacture (including import), processing, and distribution of methylene chloride in all paint removers for consumer use.
