This series of documents, prepared for EPA by the Environmental Law Institute, describes citizen science work at state, tribal and local environmental agencies. These documents include a set of 15 case studies of how citizen science approaches are used in environmental agencies, a summary of best practices for operating citizen science programs, and strategic steps that can be taken to better support the use of citizen science for environmental decision-making.
