How can Laboratories Participate in the Superfund CLP?

To become part of the Contract Laboratory Program (CLP), laboratories must meet stringent requirements and standards for equipment, personnel, laboratory practices, and analytical and quality control (QC) operations. In preparation for recompetition of the contracts, EPA publishes an announcement in FedConnect alerting the community of an upcoming solicitation for analytical services.  Offerors must first successfully analyze performance evaluation (PE) samples, then awards are made to the laboratories who provide the best value to the Government, price and non-price factors considered.  After contract award, laboratories are closely monitored to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
