Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD) Essentials

SEDD Essentials is a self-inspection tool that allows users to evaluate a Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD) format Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) against minimum SEDD structural and completeness requirements. It is method agnostic, and allows inspection at the Stage 2a, 2b, or 3 level. The resulting report provides information about the EDD, including the errors found and their location within the EDD.

  • SEDD Essentials enables users to evaluate the structure and completeness of SEDD XML files.
  • SEDD Essentials does not assess data quality, which means it is method-independent and can evaluate any SEDD stage.

SEDD Essentials provides users valuable information about their SEDD electronic data deliverable, including the type and location of any errors found during its assessment.

For more information or to obtain access to SEDD Essentials please contact Charlie Appleby at appleby.charlie@epa.gov
