EPA is proposing changes to the closure provisions in the 2015 final rule for the disposal of coal combustion residuals from electric utilities and independent power producers. In addition to accepting written comments, EPA will hold a virtual or online public hearing on January 7, 2020. The virtual public hearing will provide interested persons the opportunity to present information, comments or views concerning EPA's proposal.
