The documents below are designed to supplement existing guidance to help analyze COVID-19 risk and determine necessary actions to minimize COVID-19 risk.
Interim EPA COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines for Field Activities
The Interim EPA COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines for Field Activities represent an integrated set of safety and health guidance that provide timely and consistent information for employees conducting field activities. They are intended to reduce risk of COVID-19 exposure to EPA field staff, regulated entities and the public. These guidelines are specific to COVID-19 only and are not intended to supersede existing health and safety requirements. These Health and Safety Guidelines for Field Activities are a supplement to the national COVID-19 official guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Job Hazard Analysis for COVID-19
The Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for COVID-19 is a supplement to the standard JHA that has been previously completed for typical work activities and is to be used to establish the level of COVID-19 risk. This should be used with a site Health and Safety Plan, Field Work Control Plan, Vessel Float Plan, Dive Safety Plan, etc. The level of risk determined by using this form helps to identify if additional protective equipment or work practice controls are needed due to COVID-19 risk.
