Tools to Assess Risks to Water Utilities from Extreme Weather

Conduct a risk assessment with the Climate Resilience and Awareness Tool (CREAT). CREAT provides users with the knowledge needed to prepare for and address impacts due to extreme weather events. Designed for water, wastewater and stormwater utilities, CREAT uses a series of intuitive modules, as well as projection data and monetized risk results, to help users complete a risk assessment.  Climate Resilience and Awareness Tool (CREAT)

Assess potential impacts due to extreme weather events on the CREAT Climate Scenarios Projection Map.  This map provides easy-to-access scenario-based projections drawn from CREAT. The impacts from events like extreme heat and more intense storms present challenges to water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities and the communities they serve.  CREAT Climate Scenarios Projection Map

View coastal storm surge projections on the Storm Surge Inundation and Hurricane Strike Frequency Map.  This map illustrates: American Gulf and Atlantic Coasts flooding scenarios; storm surge flood models in coastal and inland areas; and hurricane strike frequency by storm strength and county.  Storm Surge Inundation and Hurricane Strike Frequency Map
