EPA Docket Center and Reading Room Closed to Public with Limited Exceptions
EPA’s National Capital Region has begun the reopening process. Visitors to the EPA Docket Center Reading Room may be considered on an exception basis. Visitors must complete docket material requests in advance and then make an appointment to retrieve the material. Visitors will be allowed entrance to the Reading Room by appointment only, and no walk-ins will be allowed.
When planning to arrive for your appointment at the Reading Room:
- Visitors should perform a self-assessment on if they have CDC-identified symptoms of COVID-19 prior to presenting identification and proceeding through the EPA facility security screening.
- A face covering will be strongly recommended, if not mandated, when visitors do not have the ability to adhere to social distance in the EPA facility.
- Social Distancing Guidelines should be followed throughout the EPA facility.
Our Docket Center staff also continues to provide remote customer service via email, phone, and webform. We encourage the public to submit comments via www.Regulations.gov or email as there may be a delay in processing mail and hand deliveries will be accepted by appointment only.
