Systems implementing asset management develop detailed asset inventories, perform operation and maintenance tasks, conduct long-range financial planning and undertake other activities to build system capacity, all of which help move systems along the path to long-term sustainability.

The document below is designed for state staff and technical assistance providers who are assisting small- and medium-sized drinking water or wastewater systems in identifying resources that can be used to implement asset management practices.
