Public Meeting: Potential Revisions of the Microbial and Disinfection Byproducts Rules
EPA hosted a virtual public meeting on October 14-15, 2020 to solicit input on further improving public health protection from microbial contaminants and disinfection byproducts (MDBPs) in drinking water. During this meeting, EPA sought perspectives and information related to potential regulatory revisions of eight National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (NPDWRs) included in MDBP rules following the Six-Year Review 3.
EPA is providing the public with an opportunity to send written input to EPA in the public docket at www.regulations.gov, Docket ID: EPA-HQ-OW-2020-0486. EPA will consider the data and/or information discussed at this meeting and submitted to the docket, as well as future stakeholder engagements, in its determination on whether a rulemaking to revise any MDBP regulations should be initiated.
