Results: E3 by the Numbers

These are some of the benefits brought about by E3 since 2009. E3 assessment teams are continuing to identify opportunities for manufacturers to improve environmental performance, energy efficiency, and economic conditions. E3 will share more results as new projects get under way and reporting expands. 

Participating E3 communities identified opportunities to reduce >103 million lbs. air emissions, <851 million lbs. solid waste, >1.4 million lbs. hazardous waste, >254 million lbs. water pollution, >267 million gals water use (June 2015)
Communities participating in E3 have helped identify 584,001 metric tons CO2 emission reductions...the equivalent to removing more than 122,948 passenger vehicles from the road! (June 2015)
Participating E3 communities have identified nearly 29 million in one-time cost savings, more than 49 million in environmental savings, over 127.6 million in lean savings and almost 38 million in energy cost savings (June 2015)
1,127 jobs created / 2,431 jobs retained by E3 communities since 2009 (June 2015)
