The “EPA Reduces Lead Exposures Through Cleanup Enforcement” bulletin provides information on the efforts of the Agency’s cleanup enforcement program to use the authorities within the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA, commonly referred to as Superfund) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) programs to reduce lead exposure from contaminated sites. Each year, the bulletin examines Superfund and RCRA corrective action enforcement actions to address the cleanup of lead contamination at sites and facilities. The most recent bulletin case examples are for fiscal year 2020.
