Enforcement Response Policy: Issuance of Policy on Timely and Appropriate Enforcement Response to High Priority Violations

This policy applies to all "major" (as defined by the CAA) stationary sources of air pollution which are in violation of a federally-enforceable regulation. This policy supersedes and consolidates the previous Clean air Act guidance related to Significant Violators (SVS), Timely and Appropriate and Federally Reportable Violations (FRV).  Issued Dec. 22, 1998.
