Report: Encouraging Community Engagement in Superfund Enforcement

Report titled "Community Engagement Initiative: Compilation of EPA’s Activities Encouraging Community Engagement in Superfund Enforcement" lists activities that can be considered for use, as appropriate, for more meaningful involvement of communities in the Superfund enforcement process. The report documents examples, provided by EPA Regional offices, of activities they have used in the past or other ideas to engage communities in enforcement cases. The review of possible engagement activities report is organized according to six different types of Superfund enforcement activities. A summary of the Compilation was issued at the same time. Issued September 2014.

In February 2013, EPA issued a draft report and summary seeking public comment through May 31, 2013. EPA considered the input received during development of this report.
