BR Search User Guide

BR bannerBrimageThe Biennial Report (BR) is the current mechanism utilized by EPA's Office of Solid Waste (OSW) to collect and report biennial data on hazardous waste generation and management. The information in BR is used to support the development of the National Biennial RCRA Hazardous Waste Report. Additionally, BR data are provided to the National Technical Information Service (NTIS). This allows NTIS to respond to requests from the public and industry for RCRAInfo or BR data. BR includes data on handler identification and certification, waste generation and management, waste receipt from off-site, waste treatment, disposal or recycling, and off-site installations and transporters.

This is a brief user's guide to the BR Search. Select between a variety of different search options and output options detailed below. Contact us if you have any suggestions for improvements to these pages.

Usage Constraints

Information in the BR database can be freely accessed through the use of this search. The complexity of the search is up to the user. Searches that return a large volume of data may terminate prematurely due to system limitations. Develop searches that return small batches of data and terminate the session as soon as the searches have been executed, so that others can access the database.
