Abstract: 

This report presents an economic model of behavior which describes an individual's health and response to environmental pollution. Chapter 2 contains a review of previous work on the adverse health effects of CO on ischemic hear disease patients and the methods used in the UC Irvine community exposure study. Chapter 3 describes the survey methods used to elicit economic information from the 50 subjects in the study. Chapter 4 contains the survey results and the analysis of the personal CO exposure data.
