EPA’s Selected Analytical Methods for Environmental Remediation and Recovery (SAM) lists this method for use if problems occur when using EPA Method 7473 during preparation and analysis of solid and wipe samples containing mercury, mercuric chloride (analyzed as total mercury), and methoxyethylmercuric acetate (analyzed as total mercury).
