Amendment to the Existing Memorandum of Understanding Between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Defense for Support for Implementation of Fast Track Cleanup at Closing Department of Defense (DoD) Installations

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE
U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
AND THE
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE

Subject: Amendment to the Existing Memorandum of Understanding Between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Defense for Support for Implementation of Fast Track Cleanup at Closing Department of Defense (DoD) Installations

The following modification to subject MOU are agreed to by the signatories.

  1. Purpose: No change.
  2. Scope: No change.
  3. Program Funding: No change.
  4. Program duration and termination: This MOU is extended from October 1, 2001 to September 30, 2002.
  5. Reporting: No change.
  6. If during the term of this MOU it is determined that DoD is not legally able to pay for some or all of the costs currently paid by DoD with respect to NPL sites, then such payment shall be discontinued.
