The GMI is exploring ways to become more efficient and effective in achieving its mission, including possible alignment with these relevant initiatives to leverage resources and attention for key issues:
- Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) Exit
Conducts significant sector-specific methane activities in three sectors that overlap with the GMI (agriculture, specifically manure management; municipal solid waste; and oil & gas) as well as several crosscutting initiatives (e.g., financing, short-lived climate pollutant [SLCP] national action planning) - United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Sustainable Energy Division Exit
Hosts the Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane - World Bank’s Global Gas Flaring Reduction Initiative (GGFR) Exit
