2020 DERA Tribal Grants - Closed Announcement FY 2020

Request for Applications
2020 Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) Tribal Grants
RFA #:EPA-OAR-OTAQ-20-07, Closing Date: July 9, 2020

Summary: EPA seeks applications nationwide from eligible tribal government (or intertribal consortia) and Alaska Native Villages for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions in terms of tons of pollution produced by diesel engines and diesel emissions exposure, particularly from fleets located in areas designated as having poor air quality. DERA grants provide funding to eligible recipients so that they may implement programs which incentivize and accelerate the upgrading or retirement of the legacy diesel fleet.

EPA anticipates awarding approximately $2 million in DERA funding under this announcement. Awards will be selected and managed by EPA’s ten regional offices. EPA anticipates awarding two to eight cooperative agreements under this announcement, subject to the availability of funds, the quality of applications received, and other considerations.
