Summary: EPA’s Office of Radiation & Indoor Air is soliciting applications to help protect human health and the environment from unnecessary exposure to radiation. EPA is soliciting applications for projects that support this effort through the development of radiological protection guidance and recommendations, and information exchange with EPA and other federal agencies involved in radiological protection. Eligible entities with experience assessing the human health impacts of radiation exposure are encouraged to submit applications. The total estimated funding for this competitive opportunity is approximately $500,000 over five years. EPA anticipates awarding one to two multi-year grant(s) from this announcement, subject to the availability of funds, the quality of applications received, and other applicable considerations.
