The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awards approximately one-half of its budget annually in grants to its state, local, tribal, educational, and nonprofit partners. EPA’s grants management program—the aggregate of activities that contribute to the award and management of the thousands of EPA grants and cooperative agreements under multiple individual programmatic statutory authorities—is a cooperative effort.
This plan charts the course the Agency will follow in the coming years to deliver an effective system for grants administration - one in which federal funds are used responsibly to deliver meaningful environmental results.
