ENERGY STAR® Webinar: Practical First Steps for Renewable Energy Procurement

November 19, 2020
12:00-1:00 PM EST

On November 19, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) ENERGY STAR program’s Industrial Brownbag Series hosted a webinar about how leading U.S. manufacturers are choosing to start or expand their green power commitments. Companies have many green power supply options to consider when deciding when and how to invest in renewable energy and determining the best option can seem daunting. To help manufacturers take informed steps when procuring green power, attendees learned from the expertise and experience of the EPA’s Green Power Partnership, as well as Cisco Systems, a multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells an array of IT and telecommunications products, on these topics:

  • Available green power supply options on the market today
  • Steps to take when assessing the viability and fit of those green power options
  • Existing resources that can aid companies in their green power purchase decision-making process

This webinar mainly focused on offsite green power options, such as power purchase agreements.
