Green Power Partnership Top 30 Retail
As of October 19, 2020, the combined annual green power use of EPA’s Top 30 Retail Partners amounts to more than 7 billion kilowatt-hours of green power, which is equivalent to the annual electricity use of more than 641,000 average American homes.
It's our responsibility to protect the natural places our customers and employees enjoy. We are encouraged that our overall energy use has been essentially flat in recent years, while we have grown significantly and connected more members and customers to the outdoors. We intend to generate enough local renewable energy for our total electricity needs, but until then, RECs will be an important part of our energy strategy.
