Related to Region 8's Direct Implementation role under the Safe Drinking Water Act Footnote

Region 8 implements the Public Water Supply Supervision program under the SDWA as the lead regulatory authority for those programs in Wyoming and Indian country. Region 8 also directly implements the Underground Injection Control Program under the SDWA in Indian country and the UIC programs for non-oil and gas related activities in Colorado, Montana, and South Dakota. These guidance assist the regulated community - which consists of hundreds of drinking waters systems and injection well operators, many of which are small and in rural areas – in complying with program requirements.  These documents are identified with the "Related to Region 8's Direct Implementation role under the Safe Drinking Water Act" topic.
