Community Public Health Research

EPA is conducting research on ways to improve human health and well-being, as well as support community sustainability. Through science and tools, researchers are monitoring, tracking, and evaluating environmental, social, and economic impacts on community public health. This research will inform community development, management decisions, and public health policies to ensure that all citizens, including the most vulnerable groups, enjoy safe, healthy, and sustainable environments in which to live, work, and play.

Using data and information collected from EPA researchers and partners, communities can better understand how environmental, social, and economic factors may impact the health and well-being of both individuals and the community.
