Cleanup Activities
The facility achieved a "Remedy Construction Complete" determination on September 18, 2012. Chemical oxidants was injected beneath the site to treat contaminated groundwater in situ. The on-site impoundments were excavated down to bedrock and closed in accordance with RCRA regulations.

Wastes generated on site included metal bearing sludges and waste solvents, which were managed in four on-site impoundments.

This approximately 28 acre facility is located in a mixed industrial/residential area of Beacon Falls, CT. According to the US Geological Survey's National Hydrography Dataset, this facility is located in the Outlet Naugatuck River watershed and the nearest fresh surface water body is located on or immediately adjacent to the property. Geology in this area has been observed to be dominated by schist formations.
