Cleanup Activities
This facility achieved a "Remedy Construction Complete" determination on September 26, 2017. Certain contaminated soils were removed and disposed of off site, while others were capped in situ beneath an engineered control. Above-ground storage tanks were also removed from the property.

Facility Description
This facility was used by Von Roll USA, Inc. for the manufacture of electrical insulation and other resin-based materials from 1965 until the mid-2010s. Manufacturing processes included coating and painting. Chemical products on site were managed in storage tanks and in a container storage area.

This approximately 2 acre facility is located in an industrial area of New Haven, CT. According to the US Geological Survey's National Hydrography Dataset, this facility is located in the Quinnipiac River watershed and the nearest fresh surface water body is located on or immediately adjacent to the property. Geology in this area has been observed to be dominated by arkose and conglomerate formations.
