Hazardous Waste Cleanup: Sentry Paint Technologies in Darby, Pennsylvania

Cleanup Status

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) visited the facility and met with company representatives on July 31, 2003. EPA is reviewing existing environmental information to determine if further investigation is required. EPA will focus first on the health and groundwater impacts, if any, presented by the facility. Once EPA completes this review process, an environmental indicator determination will be prepared and posted to this website.

The facility is located at 237 Mill Street, Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The facility manufactured paint, primer, and industrial coatings. All manufacturing operations of the facility were permanently shut down on April 30, 2003. The facility is currently used as distribution center for east coast customers of Sheboygan Paint Company. The facility currently consists of a manufacturing area, a warehouse, a laboratory, and office space.
