Federal Register Notice: Final Amendment and Interim Final Amendments to Hazardous Waste Management Regulations for Residues or Hazardous Waste in Containers

These amendments, published on November 25, 1980, modify title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) section 261.33(c) and add a new Section, 40 CFR section 261.7, to EPA's May 19, 1980, hazardous waste management regulations. This new section and the change to section 261.33(c),clarify the situations in which residues of hazardous waste that are contained in drums, barrels, tank trucks or other types of containers must be m6naged as hazardous wastes under 40 CFR Parts 261 through 265 and 122 through 124.
