Federal Register Notice: Proposed Interim Status Requirements for Underground Injection

EPA proposed specific requirements for the disposal of hazardous waste by underground injection under section 3004 of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, 42 U.S. Code Section 6901, et seq., as amended. These proposed requirements would amend Subpart R of the interim status regulations applicable to hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities. The proposed amendment included requirements concerning general operating practices, waste analysis, monitoring and response, closure and post-closure care, financial responsibility and special handling of ignitable, reactive or incompatible waste.
