Federal Register: Proposed Revisions to the Consolidated Permit Regulations in Accordance with the Settlement Agreement

On November 16, 1981, EPA entered into a settlement agreement with numerous industry petitioners In the consolidated permit regulations litigation (NRDC v. EPA and consolidated cases, No. 80-1607 (D.C. Cir., filed June 2, 1980)). This rulemaking, published in the Federal Register on June 14, 1982 (47 FR 25546),  proposes to revise certain provisions of the consolidated permit regulations in accordance with that settlement. The proposed changes are intended to minimize the regulatory burdens imposed on permittees under four permitting programs administering by EPA or approved States.
