In July 2008, EPA drafted the federal portion of a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permit in connection with the hazardous waste management storage activities at Veolia ES Technical Solutions, L.L.C. located in Sauget Illinois (RCRA identification number ILD 098 642 424). Subject to public notice and comment under Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 124.10, and under the authority of RCRA as amended by the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments of 1984 (HSWA), the U.S. EPA and Illinois EPA proposed to reissue a RCRA joint permit to the applicant for the storage and incineration of hazardous waste facility located in Sauget, Illinois.
