Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Risk-Based Approval to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

EPA and IDEM have determined that the Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) is a safe, proven and cost-effective way to dispose of the PCB-contaminated sediment dredged from the Indiana Harbor and Canal.  EPA and IDEM agree that the only feasible option for removal of PCB-contaminated sediment is for  U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to dispose of the sediment in the CDF.
