Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

How can I successfully work with the media to promote tribal IAQ issues?

Working with the media may seem intimidating, but it can be largely beneficial in publicizing your indoor air quality (IAQ) messages and getting the word out about any activities or events that raise awareness about IAQ in your community. There are several resources available to help you achieve success with the media.

Both EPA's National Radon Action Month Event Planning Kit Exitand EPA's Asthma Awareness Month Event Planning Kit Exitcan be used and adapted for your specific needs. In addition, the Aberdeen Area Tribal Chairmen's Board developed a unique approach for working with the media. It created the same campaign in three of the local languages to be broadcast in the appropriate market.
