The predominant use of this chemical is in consumer products, including paints, varnishes, inks and cleaning products. It is also has limited use as an inert ingredient in pesticide products as a solvent in pesticide formulations applied to growing crops only; and/or a deactivator, emollient in pesticide formulations applied to animals.
