Details: EPA Region 7 will host a Compliance Assistance Webinar Aug. 25 to discuss changes to the Risk Management Program rule that affect agricultural facilities.
Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act requires facilities that have threshold quantities of regulated substances to develop risk management plans (RMPs) to prevent accidental releases that can cause serious harm to the public and the environment. In November 2019, EPA finalized changes to the RMP Amendments to better address potential security risks, regulatory consistency, and reasonable consideration of costs.
Discussion during the webinar will center on changes to incident investigations, public meetings following RMP-reportable accidents, emergency response exercises, and enhanced coordination with local emergency planners and responders. Following the presentation, a question-and-answer session will provide attendees the opportunity to seek further clarification.
Open to: This course is intended for stakeholders involved in risk management programs at regional agricultural facilities. Federal, state, or local government employees are also invited to attend this webinar.
