Region 7 Land Revitalization

Hammons Field in Springfield MissouriHammons Field, home of the Springfield Cardinals in Springfield, Missouri, was constructed from a former brownfield site with the support of EPA funding.Land revitalization is the sustainable redevelopment of abandoned properties. It puts previously contaminated properties back into productive use.

Reusing cleaned up properties protects public health and the environment by preventing sprawl, improving water quality, preserving green space, protecting endangered habitat, and reinvigorating communities.

This site offers resources and is designed to help community members and developers navigate the redevelopment process.
