Summary

In-Depth Redevelopment Case Study Now Available

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 invites the public to read an in-depth case study about redevelopment and reuse at the Armour Road Superfund Site, “An Overnight Success Story, 20 Years in the Making: the Armour Road Superfund Site in North Kansas City, Missouri.”

This new case study takes a closer look at the cleanup and reuse planning activities that enabled the transformation of this gateway to North Kansas City. The cleanup has helped make the One North Redevelopment project possible, including new commercial and public service facilities at the Superfund Site. EPA is thankful for the community stakeholders that made this a reality.

EPA has assessed the ability of the public to access this case study through an internet-based repository and has determined that the local community has this ability. As a result, the case study is available on EPA’s website.
