Public Notice: Hall Street Abandoned Container Superfund Site, St. Louis, Missouri

Publish Date: 07/02/2020

Summary

Administrative Record File Available

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 has compiled the Administrative Record file for the Hall Street Abandoned Container Superfund Site, located at 7410 Hall Street in St. Louis.

EPA responded to the site in May 2020 and identified 18 bulk storage containers (55-gallon drums) and various smaller containers, such as 15 5-gallon buckets dumped on city-owned property. Laboratory analyses of samples collected from the drums demonstrated that they contained hazardous substances. EPA conducted an emergency response action by removing and disposing of these wastes to protect human health and the environment.

The Administrative Record (AR) is the official site file that contains technical documents with respect to the response action taken at this site. EPA has assessed the ability of the public to access the AR through an internet-based repository and has determined that the local community has this ability. The AR for this site is available on EPA’s website (see Administrative Records).
