Summary
Administrative Record File Available
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 has compiled the Administrative Record (AR) file for an emergency response conducted near 1700 St. Louis Mills Circle in Hazelwood, Missouri. EPA responded to the St. Louis Mills Circle Abandoned Container Superfund Site in May and June 2020, under the authority of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act. Three abandoned storage containers (55-gallon drums) were identified on the property. Laboratory analyses of samples collected from the drums demonstrated that they contained hazardous substances. EPA’s action included removing and disposing of these wastes to protect human health and the environment.
The AR file is the official site file that contains technical documents with respect to the response action taken at this site. EPA has assessed the ability of the public to access the AR through an internet-based repository and has determined that the local community has this ability. The AR for this site is available on EPA’s website (see Administrative Records).
