Why Doesn't my Output Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Match my Input VMT?

This problem usually occurs when the run specification does not include all possible vehicle and fuel types. MOVES internally allocates the input VMT to each of the source types and fuel types and only reports the VMT for the fuel types selected by the user.

Common sources of this problem are leaving out E85 fuel combinations for passenger cars, passenger light-duty trucks and commercial light-duty trucks, or leaving out CNG and gasoline transit buses from your run specification.

This is discussed in detail in Module 3 of the two-day hands-on MOVES training materials available at:

MOVES Training Sessions.
