The EPA OIG plans to to begin our audits of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) fiscal year (FY) 2017 financial statements for the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) Fund and the Pesticides Reregistration and Expedited Processing Fund, which is known as the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Fund.
The EPA's Office of Inspector General is a part of the EPA, although Congress provides our funding separate from the agency, to ensure our independence. We were created pursuant to the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended Exit.
